Harry Reddan, the former problem oriented policing (POP) officer assigned to Mineola, left the community when he was promoted to the level of sergeant. Reddan is now serving in Nassau's 6th precinct.

A farewell gathering was held at O'Donnell's Pub in Mineola to recognize Sergeant Reddan for his work in Mineola. The affair was attended by village officials and Reddan's fellow officers. All wished the former Mineola POP officer luck in his current assignment.
