This Friday, Oct. 26, is the Annual Mayor's Halloween Party for our village's children, Pre-K to grade 5.
Once again, we will offer pony rides, hayrides, a castle bounce, petting zoos and musical entertainment. There will be plenty of cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream and of course trick or treats for all to enjoy.
This year we are asking everyone to bring canned food/paper goods so we may donate them to our local food pantries.
At the EMS Award Dinner on Oct. 12, two members of the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps were among the honorees.
Assistant Chief Brian Clements received the Nassau Regional EMS Council Honorable Mention and EMT of the Year Award and Lieutenant Adam Gonzalez received the Honorable Mention EMT of the Year Award.
Congratulations to both of the recipients and to their fellow members for the countless hours that they freely give to assist our residents.
