Frank and Joan Rotter are marking their 50th wedding anniversary. Their children are treating them to a Caribbean cruise. Frank is a former member of the Mineola Library Board and is still in charge of their movie program.

Stanley Krause, mayor from 1959 to 1975, still gets around fairly well at the age of 91. Stan actually served as trustee or mayor from 1950 to 1975. The late Thomas Pierce, who at the time was chairman of the No. Hempstead Republican Committee, was one of the chairmen of Stan's Retirement Testimonial Dinner.
