Stanley Krause, mayor from 1959 to 1975, still gets around fairly well at the age of 91. Stan actually served as trustee or mayor from 1950 to 1975. The late Thomas Pierce, who at the time was chairman of the No. Hempstead Republican Committee, was one of the chairmen of Stan's Retirement Testimonial Dinner.
