Gladys Julia Luckert, 78, of Alton, IL, formerly of Mineola, died on Aug. 30, 2001. She was born May 6, 1923 in Brooklyn, daughter of the late Frank and Henrietta (Breuer) Luckert. She was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in NY. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Savior and Faith Lutheran Church. She was predeceased by her brother Arnold Luckert and sister Ruth Schuppe Hulsaver. Cousin of Don Luckert, John Luckert, Shirley Lecrone and Pearl Reese. Arrangements were made by the Gent Funeral Home, Alton, and the Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, Garden City. Service with Rev. Robert Mursch officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
