A program of global adventures for seniors: Tuesday, Sept. 11, 11 a.m. Join Len Reifberg, Elderhostel Ambassador for Nassau County, on an armchair journey around the world with Elderhostel's educational travel programs for seniors in the library community room. Thursday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. Join Madelyn Pressman Edelson outside on the Library Deck when she presents a lecture and discussion on The House of Mirth; Edith Wharton's most scathing depiction of Old New York society at the turn of the century. (In case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the auditorium).
