Msgr. Edward Tarrant of Corpus Christi is a big sports fan. He tells us he lives and dies with the daily agonies of the Mets. We all remember how he kept rooting so hard, tho alas in vain, for the NY Giants during the football season.

Speaking of the Mets, John DaVanzo and Father Murphy proved they had little faith when they left a recent ballgame with the Mets trailing 7-2. Only the next day did they learn that the locals had scored six times in the eighth and won 8-7.

Eventually the Roslyn Road crossing will be partially elevated and the road partially depressed so it will be similar to Herricks Road. The village is always looking for additional parking in the downtown area. A lot is planned for the rear of the KeySpan building (the old LILCO building) on Old Country Road.
