The Mineola Athletic Booster Club held its annual varsity sports dinner last week. Although the dinner is an annual event, this year it had special meaning as it was the last sports dinner for director of health, physical education, and athletics Tony Gulli, longtime district coach Bob Young and the many seniors who have give their time and hard work to Mineola's athletic program.

Mr. Gulli was honored for his commitment and dedication to Mineola athletics and Jonathan Debrich and Katherine Hock were recognized as the male and female athletes of the year. (For more coverage of the Booster Club sports dinner, see next week's edition of the Mineola American.)

Bob Young, Mike Terc and Tony Gulli were presented with Mineola High School blankets.
