On Saturday, May 19, the Mineola Fair was held at Memorial Park under sunny skies. The mild weather was a far cry from the weather that washed away last year's fair.

The 2001 fair was once again a hit with residents of all ages and all communities enjoying the best of what Mineola had to offer. There was a multitude of vendors as well as organizations.

The entertainment, from the Long Island Harmonica Club to the Mineola Portuguese Dancers, delighted the audience and children enjoyed the petting zoo and the rides.

The fair once again gave residents a sense of togetherness as friends and neighbors enjoyed each other's company and the festivities. On Saturday, May 19, the sun was smiling down on Mineola.
