On Sunday, April 29, the Village of Mineola, the Mineola/Garden City Rotary and the Mineola Chamber of Commerce held a blood drive in the Mineola Community Center. Many organizations sent representatives to donate blood and we thank them for their generous contribution. Outstanding among the organizations who donated are the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Mineola Volunteer Fire Department, with eight contributors each. Also, the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps had volunteers on duty all day and we express our great appreciation to you for this effort.

We wish to thank all volunteers who helped make this a special day and who increased the Long Island Blood Services stock by 34 pints of blood. You all made a life-saving difference on that day.
