Corpus Christi boys fifth grade basketball team won their fourth game in a row 52-56 against a run and gun squad from Our Lady of Hope. This game was fast paced from the start which resulted in such a high score on both sides. The usual solid play of Jimmy Murtha 15 points, Tommy Flynn 11 points, Michael Diglio 10 points and T.J. Gessner seven rebounds and six assists led to a balanced Corpus Christi attack. But the real story of this game was the bench play which contributed with 16 points. Alex Lopes made his first appearance in the starting lineup and as a new wrinkle, Chris Brostek unselfishly came off the bench to ply brilliantly with six points. The part of the game that made the coaches for Corpus Christi the proudest was the play of Brendan Reedy six points and Frankie Lao four points, which shows that Corpus Christi is a complete team and that each player is an important part of this unit.
