The Mineola High School Girls' Lacrosse Team traveled to the University of Massachusetts' campus to compete in the 2000 Wild Side Lacrosse Tournament. The team went undefeated in its seven games of play. This record was made possible by the strong offensive playing of Katherine Hock, Jamie Carter, Deena Veezo, Mary Warner, Vikki Montelbano and Theresa Dolan. The ladies were able to curtail the goal scoring attempts of their opponents through the great defensive efforts of Lauren Anderson, Elena Nuzzi, Nicole Tabasis and goalie Ali Murphy.
