Remembering a Special Voice
Within the empty halls of Mineola High School, which are usually crowded with the hustle and bustle typical of a day in the world of academics, the sweet melodies of singing emanate from the school's choir room. It is a Monday evening and members of the Mineola Choral Society are where they belong every week at 7:30 p.m., practicing their singing. On this particular Monday, they are practicing for a January concert and a special one - a Mozart Requiem that will be performed in honor of a former member.

Mineola's Biggest Fund Raiser Keeps Running
The tradition of the Mineola Mustang Run was kept alive when hundreds of runners and walkers lined up near Mineola Middle School to participate in the 3.1 mile run, which is held each year to benefit various organizations throughout the village.

Mustang Postseason Honors
Now that the fall high school athletic season is in the books, many Mineola High School athletes, who displayed their prowess, were selected for postseason honors. The highly successful volleyball coaches in Nassau County with an All-County selection. Senior Ashley O'Neill was honored by the volleyball coaches in Nassau County with an All-County selection. Additionally, seniors Callahan and Papadimitrios were chosen as All-County Honorable Mention honorees. Another key member of the senior class on Coach Lynn Klein's team, Kristen Buglione, was named All-Conference.
