Board, Public Raise Concerns Over CVS
Last week, representatives from CVS unveiled their plan to erect a new CVS pharmacy store on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola, between Emory and Andrews Roads. The plan called for the Reese Buick dealership, which is currently present at that location but is not in use, to be demolished and a CVS to be erected in its place. The plan, however, was met with many concerns voiced by Village of Mineola Mayor John P. Colbert, members of the village board as well as many residents. The main concerns involved the impact the store would have on traffic in that area and whether the presence of a CVS would disturb the quality of life for residents in that area.
