Mineola Magic, the girls U-12 travel soccer team, played the fourth game of their fall schedule on October 14th against the Island Trees Chargers. The game was very close. The first goal was scored against Mineola at 6:45 in the first half of the game. After some half-time advice from Coach John Munson and Assistant Coach Bill Kain, the girls took the field and Mineola's Kerri O'Connell scored within the first 52 seconds. Mineola continued to dominate the entire second half of the game, but despite a great effort, there were no additional goals scored and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Magic is pleased to welcome Christine McEnery as the newest member of the team. With a record of 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie, Magic is currently tied for 2nd place in their division. The division is comprised of 13 teams in western Long Island.
