The Wizards lost a hard fought game to the Valley Stream Twisters 4-3 on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the soccer park in Plainview. Goal scorers were Jamie Medlock and Valerie Jozef.

On Sunday, the Wizards played White Plains in their second game of the State Cup. It was another close one with the score 2-1 until the last 45 seconds of the game when White Plains scored the third goal, closing all hopes for the Wizards tying up the game and going for a shootout. A goal was scored on a penalty shot by Jamie Medlock. The loss eliminates Mineola from State Cup competition.
