On Monday, Aug. 28, J.B.'s Pub, located in Mineola, will be hosting its Annual Charity Golf Outing at the Glen Cove Golf Club. As in years past, a great day of golf will be followed by an evening of food, drinks and fun. J.B.'s Golf Outing has always been a first class affair and this year is no exception. Great prizes, a great meal and one or two frosty beverages will combine for a day you won't want to miss.

This year's outing will again benefit the Timothy Crane Memorial Fund. Timmy Crane was just 10 years old when he passed away two years ago. He had been diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a severe progressive disease for which there is no known cure. His younger brother Brian and his cousin have both been diagnosed with the same disease. All money raised will go toward a Memorial Scholarship Fund as well as for research into this devastating disease. Timmy Crane was the son of Barbara and Ed Crane, a noted newscaster who grew up in Garden City.

J.B.'s Pub will be raising money through raffles and by accepting tee sponsorships, which are available for $100. All donations will go directly toward the charity and will be recognized by placing your name on a tee marker, by listing in our program and through any media coverage the event may receive.

If you are able to sponsor a tee, make your check payable to the Timothy Crane Memorial Fund and send it to J.B.'s with the name to be printed on the tee marker. If you are able to donate a raffle prize, please bring it at your earliest convienience to J.B.'s at 234 Old Country Road in Mineola or call the pub to arrange a pickup.
