Mineola won its first playoff game on June 15 against a very strong Glen Oaks team. Juliet Barber pitched five strong innings (4 H, 2 R, 5 K's) and Liz Terezo pitched two stong innings to complete the game.

Stong defensive plays by Michel Guido at third, two great plays at first by Lauren Raffetto, a great catch in left center by Allyson Strein, a strong play at second base by Melissa Stotzky and terrific catching from both Nicole Lapin and Rachel Cohen held Glen Oaks to five runs. Hitting stars included Raffetto (2-2, 2 RBI), Sarah Easton, Caitlin Orlando, Melissa Dadich, Liz Kocienda, Kaitlyn O'Neill, Stephanie Cifuentes, Sarah Mooney and Katy Prizeman, who all chipped in for the 13 runs.

Mineola reached the finals for the third consecutive year. The girls played like the champions they are.
