It's been over 60 years since Gwen Sanders, a resident of Corinth, NY, which is located about 50 miles north of Albany, saw her brother. The two siblings, she said, were separated when Sanders was 5 and her brother was 4.

A Knight in Shining Armor
Many of those who knew Charles Cavalconte describe him as a gentleman and a scholar. As a scholar, Dr. Cavalconte, a Mineola resident since 1954, earned two bachelor's degrees, two master's degrees and a doctorate. But it was his community spirit and his willingness to do things for others that many remember most.

Dance Dynamics to Dance at Fair
Dance Dynamics Dance Studio, located at 165 East Jericho Turnpike, participated in the Mineola Memorial Day Parade. Marching for the school were several students, parents and teachers. Dance Dynamics completed two very successful performances at Adelphi University on June 17 and June 18. Dance Dynamics can be seen performing at 4 p.m. at the rescheduled Mineola Fair on Saturday, July 8. Martial Arts Tournament
The Charles Water's Karate & Fitness, located at 122 Hillside Avenue in Williston Park, recently held their 2nd annual in house sparring tournament. The competition provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate the proficiency they developed through their training, exhibiting both their physical and mental finesse.
