If you try and don't succeed, try try again. That's certainly the philosophy the Mineola School District used. Just last spring, a $37.7 million bond referendum was voted down by 62 percent of those who voted.

Well after the last day of school and after graduation commencement ceremonies have taken place, the all-star high school football players from Long Island will face off again. This time it will be against their counterparts from New York City schools in a game played to fight a deadly disease.

Mineola Senior Girls Softball
Mineola played its final regular season game Firday night defeating East Williston by a score of 19-4 to finish with an impressive 11-1 record. Pitching stars were Erin O'Neill, Melissa Dadich and Melissa Stotzky, who gave up only five hits combined. Good defense was played in the field from Sarah Mooney, Michele Guido, Liz Kocienda, Melissa Stotzky, Katy Prizeman and Kaitlyn O'Neill, which contributed to holding East Williston to four runs.
