Less than two weeks remain before the $25.7 million school bond issue will be voted on by residents of the Mineola School District. Nine of the $25.7 million will be devoted to improvements in technology district officials believe have become necessary to the education of their students.

The MAA Senior Girls Softball team, sponsored by the Italian American Civic Association, played its finest game of the season defeating New Hyde Park 12-0 and raising their record to 4-0.

Mustang Sports News
Well, the Mineola High School sports year is officially over. And what a year it was! All of our teams worked hard this year and represented their school and community with pride. We had many of our athletes recognized on the conference and countywide basis. Our teams made post season play, highlighted by the exciting play of our football team in the playoffs at Hofstra stadium, and the first conference championship that was won by our girls varsity lacrosse team in only their third varsity season. Our varsity baseball team also finished their playoff schedule after a strong regular season. Yes, the Mineola school community has much to be proud of.
