Bond Is Crucial to School District
On Thursday, May 4, officials for the Mineola School District and the board of education described in detail a $25.7 million bond referendum that will be voted on by the public on June 20. In presenting the bond to those who were in attendence at the middle school, the district and the board made it clear that the items contained within the bond are now a necessity to the education of the district's students.

If there was any time for nice weather, it would be this weekend. This Saturday, the annual Mineola Fair, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Incorporated Village, will take place.

PAL Lacrosse
On April 30, the Third Grade Lacrosse team met Bellmore/Merrick at Hampton Stadium and came away with their second win with a score of 6-2. Captains Peter Abbatiello, Chris Olsen and Louis Flaherty led their team to another fine day of lacrosse.

Well, spring break is over. Most of the teams were busy during the vacation with practices and non-league games to keep their skills sharp for the final weeks of the regular season. All of the teams are doing well. Boys volleyball, baseball and girls lacrosse are in the playoff hunt. We will keep you posted in these next crucial weeks as the teams wind down their seasons and enter post season play.
