For the second straight year, the Mineola School District will be offering a summer sports program for younger students. The program is designed and delivered by the certified coaching staff, with the assistance of Mineola student-athletes. This is a program that will create interest, expose kids to high quality instruction, provide students with opportunities to see where their skills and interest lie, work hard on skill development and it will be fun.

There will be four sessions. Sessions for students entering grades 3-5 will be at 3:45 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. Sessions for students entering grades 6-8 will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:45 p.m. The following schedule is in place:

Wrestling - Week of 7/10

Girls Lacrosse - Week of 7/10

Boys Basketball - Week of 7/17

Girls Soccer - Week of 7/17

Boys Soccer - Week of 7/24

Girls Basketball - Week of 7/24

Girls Volleyball - Week of 7/24

Boys Lacrosse - Week of 7/31

Registration forms were sent home with all students at the end of March. Additional brochures will be available at the elementary schools, middle school and high school. The registration fee is $25 for each session and is on a first come, first served basis. The first 40 registration forms will be accepted for each session. If you have any questions, call Denise Zunno at 739-4168.
