I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who have shown me support and encouragement with regard to the upcoming election.
I have had the privilege of serving the residents of Mineola as their trustee for almost nine years now and do so with the same enthusiasm, care and concern as I did when I first took office. The village has seen many changes over the years: a new residents-only pool, new equipment for the Department of Public Works, Fire Department and Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, new sewers, a new Village Hall and community center, a new library and fire house, a new roller hockey rink and renovated parks and athletic fields, and an annual flu shot program for our seniors, just to name a few. These projects have increased property value and made Mineola the most desirable village in which to live. All this while stabilizing taxes! The experience of being a trustee has been a rewarding one. I would like to thank the residents of this great village for the trust and faith they have placed in me by electing me to serve as their trustee.
It is unfortunate that during this campaign fallacies have surfaced with regard to Mineola's financial status. I can assure you that our village is in excellent financial shape. As a lifelong resident of the village and now serving as your trustee, it would be unconscionable for me to mislead the residents of Mineola, especially people living on a fixed income.
I would like to ask the residents of Mineola, once again, to re-elect my running mate Warren Brinker and me to the office of trustee. We would like the opportunity to continue to serve our village residents in the way we know best.
