On a recent field trip to Yankee Stadium, Mineola High School's sports marketing class had the unique opportunity to visit the home of the World Champion New York Yankees. Upon entering the stadium, the class was greeted kindly by tour guide Tony Morante.

We're With the Home Team: Steve Nofer, John Randazzo, James McQueen, Dave Terezo, Vladimir Srdoc, Michele Marchese, Jack Hoare, Leandro Moreira, Eric Kruse, Chris Zameryka, Bryan Gabriel, Stanley Smith, Ed Barbaccia, Pio Park, Keith Morris, Jake Blier, Jeremy Yan, and Mr. Block, teacher.

The first stop was Monument Park (behind the left field wall), where students viewed the bronzed plaques of the most famous players in Yankee history. After walking around the playing field, via the outfield warning track, the class found themselves sitting in the Yankee dugout, and taking the players' view of the ball field. The next stop on the journey was a short stop in the Yankee locker room, with the trip concluding in the press box upstairs, located behind home plate.

The tour guide was extremely informative and the topics the students covered included the cost of luxury suites; accommodations for the press at the World Series; the Kentucky blue grass the Yankees play on; and the hours that Monument Park is open to the public.
