More about Alice Grom, the waitress for the last 23 years at the Jericho Diner. Alice and her husband Stan, a retired highway patrolman, live on Arlington Street. Alice used to be a professional dancer at the Martinique and other showplaces. She performed in Hellzapoppin' and in Sons of Fun. She has also done modeling for a number of products like toothpastes and shampoos. During World War II she worked as a riveter at Grummans and won the championship riveter award kind of like "Rosie the Riveter." Believe it or not this lady is also a hunter and used to go upstate for deer and she still hunts rabbits with her friends upstate.
