Kelly Rossi (a 1997 Mineola High School graduate), studying elementary education at the University of Scranton, has been selected as a member of Middle Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic team as a member of the Lady Royals Softball team. Rossi committed only one error and batted .300 for the season. Rossi, who plays first base for the Royals, was also inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an international Honor Society for Education. Kappa Delta Pi encourages high professional, intellectual, and personal standards and recognizes outstanding contributions to education.
