This past weekend the number of residents who used the pool facilities broke all previous records.

You must have a 1999 Mineola Leisure Pass to use the pool as well as all the other village facilities.

Your pool is open as follows:

Monday 2-9 p.m.

Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The pool is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 - 9:45 a.m. for adult swimming only. On July 20 there will be fish painting at the pool courtesy of Trustee Elizabeth Conlon. On July 15 there will be swim meet between Mineola and Floral Park at our pool. The meet starts at 6 p.m. Come to the pool and support the members of our swim team. On July 17 from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., our pool will present Karaoke Night. This adult-only party has been one of the premiere events in past years and I am sure that this year's party will be better than ever.

Session II of swimming lessons will start on July 20. Registration will be on July 16 and 17 at the pool from noon to 2 p.m.

This is a great program and I encourage our residents to avail themselves of the activity.

Mineola Leisure Passes are required to use any village facility. If you don't have a Leisure Pass, you may obtain one at the Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue. In order to obtain a Mineola Leisure Pass, you must bring with you the following items:

Personal Identification (Driver's License, School ID, Birth Certificate) for each person;

Two Utility Bills (Tax, Water, LIPA, Telephone, Cable);

Lease, Rental Agreement or Rent Receipt (renters only).

The parking lots on Westbury Avenue, Union Street and Liberty Avenue are available for those who wish to use the pool as well as the Wilson Park facilities. Please do not park on the grass. I want to thank our residents for not watering between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. One day in June a record in excess of six million gallons of water were utilized.
