Nina M. Herzog, 81, of Mineola, died on May 27, 1999. Born in Mineola and a product of Mineola Schools, she earned a BA degree from Adelphi in English and psychology. She volunteered in the schools as a teacher mom for 18 years, was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta and the DAR. Wife of Albert Herzog. Mother of Albert Jr. and Gail Wheeler. Grandmother of Beth, Christina and Katie Wheeler. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Funeral Home, Garden City. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Mario R. Donato, of Williston Park, died on June 6, 1999. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of VFW Post #5253 Albertson. Husband of Kathleen (nee Dunne). Father of Dr. Lisa Donato, Lorraine A. Donato, Colleen Donato and Maria Parmelee (Bill). Son of Crocina Donato. Brother of Vera Dudkowski and Mary Nichols. Also survived by nieces, nephews and a cousin. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Joan Teemsma (nee Scharf), of Mineola, died on June 13, 1999. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #144, Williston Park. Wife of Lester. Mother of Robert (Kyle), Richard (Kim), James (Jacqueline), William (Vivian), Thomas (Lisa), Michael (Gail), John (Barbara), Patricia Dominick (Jack) and the late Ellen Colgan. Grandmother of 25. Great-grandmother of eight. Sister of Edward Scharf and Ann Jardot. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi RC Church.
