Fleet Bank came back from a 4-0 deficit by scoring two runs in the third inning, one in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth inning to pull out the victory. Pitching by Dan Vezo, Mick Oswald, Mike DeStefano and Derek Webber kept the game close. The big hits of the game were struck by Frank D'Angelo and DeStefano with two each. D'Angelo's two hits brought home three RBIs, including the run scoring single in the sixth. Other key hits were doubles by James Kelly and Anthony Allegra who just missed a homerun by inches. Allegra's shot drove home one run. The big blow in the game came in the bottom of the sixth; after Drew Martone worked out a walk and stole second, he scored on D'Angelo's RBI single to tie the game. D'Angelo stole second, but was thrown out at the plate on DeStefano's single. The next batter, Webber, crushed his fourth home run of the season, a two run shot, to give Fleet the victory. This win gives Fleet Bank a final record of 12-2 and they have clinched first place and will be the top seed in the playoffs.
