Before settling in their permanent home at La Cisterna Restaurant the Mineola Chamber of Commerce has met in many different places for their dinners and lunches. Some of these places, like the San Su San, are long gone. The San Su San was a large night club in the East End 50 years ago. In roughly this order the chamber has met at Howard Johnson's, Cas Alba Hotel, T. J. Poole's, Saratoga Inn, Tina's, Italian Gardens Restaurant, the Executive Restaurant, Casey's and now La Cisterna.

Journalism I lesson. The cub reporter was sent to cover the wedding of a famous super model. When he returned to the newspaper office the editor asked him how he made out. The reporter said, "no good - the bride didn't show." The editor was tempted to fire the kid on the spot. I guess most of you get it. The real story, of course, was what happened to the model. Was she killed, or in an accident, ran off with somebody else, kidnapped or what?

Mike and Fay Chiusano of Evelyn Road enjoyed the Memorial Day parade.
