Harry Katz 11 - Lions Club 7

Harry Katz banged out 12 hits on its way to an 11-7 victory over the Lions Club. Michael Bencivenga, Mark Lupo, Keith Masso, Nick Palumbo and Michael Purdy each had two hits. Danny La Rose, Matt Moller and Chris Harnett all hit safely.

Keith Masso pitched the first three innings and left with an 8-0 lead, but the Lions Club stormed back. Chris Harnett pitched the last inning to preserve the victory.

Harry Katz 6 - Barron Body Works 0

Keith Masso and Chris Harnett combined for ten strikeouts and "no hit" Barron Body Works 6-0. Masso led an 11-hit attack with two doubles and a triple. Michael Bencivenga added two hits and made two sparkling plays in the field. Danny LaRose, Nick Palumbo, Michael Purdy, Matt Moller, Chris Harnett and Joe Monez all had hits in the game. Harry Katz is now 2-0.

Harry Katz 3 - Fleet Bank 1

Harry Katz improved its record to 3-0 with a 3-1 win over Fleet Bank. Keith Masso pitched a complete game five hitter, striking out six and walking none. A walk to Mark Lupo started a three run rally in the fourth inning. Danny La Rose followed with a single, Nick Palumbo walked and Mike Purdy capped the rally with a double. Team defense was the key to victory. The team has made just one error in three games.

Fleet Bank had good pitching from Dan Vezo and Derek Webber. There was some excellent defense played by Mike DeStefano, Frank DeAngelo and Tom Oswald. Mike Lombardi had two hits and an RBI while Webber added a triple, Vego a double and James Kelly a single.

Harry Katz 8 - Lions Club 5

Matt Moller and Keith Masso each blasted two run home runs to lead Harry Katz to an 8-5 victory. Michael Purdy added a single and triple. Mark Lupo, Danny La Rose, Nick Palumbo and Michael Bencivenga all added hits. Chris Harnett and Nick Palumbo pitched effectively for Harry Katz. Michael Bencivenga closed out the game by getting the final two outs with two runners on base. Harry Katz is now 4-0.

Fleet Bank 5 - Barron Body Works 3

Pitching was the name of the game as Mike DeStefano, Dan Vezo and Derek Webber threw two innings apiece and combined for a four hitter. Big blows in the game were delivered by Mike Lombardi who tripled in two runs and Tom Oswald who singled in another. Good defense was played by Oswald who thru out one runner at second base and nailed two others at the plate. James Kelly ended the game with a great stop of a bullet down the first base line which he turned into the final out. Fleet's record is now 3-1.
