On Tuesday, April 20, Winthrop University Hospital will be holding a community health education program on "Understanding COPD and ASTHMA."
Dr. Peter Spiegler will provide an overview of COPD and will focus on asthma and the national guidelines for the treatment and control of asthma.
This program will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Winthrop Conference Center, 101 Mineola Blvd., Mineola.

The "home" of the Agricultural Society of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties was established in Mineola in 1866.
The "home" of this organization has been "re-created" and is located at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration complex.

The Mineola Chamber of Commerce will again this year be holding a fair at Memorial Park on May 15 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
