The voters of the Mineola School District will go to their local elementary school and cast a vote to decide whether or not to float a $37.7 million bond. The referendum, which will take place on Tuesday, March 30 has been the topic of several lively public meetings, but there is no clear cut majority.
Now that the winter is behind us and the last of the snow has melted, it is time to start to think about the spring sports season at Mineola High School. Those of you who read this column regularly will remember the exciting season that the varsity softball team had last year. The Lady Mustangs were the Long Island Class B Champs, and then went to the State Championships where they finally met their match.
