It was an exciting day at Master Charles Water's Hwang Karate Studio, located at 122 Hillside Ave. in Williston Park.
Sparring, (martial arts confrontation skills used for self-defense), is a great way for students to put into action their technical skills while exercising their discipline.
The Sparring Tournament provided students with the opportunity to demonstrate the proficiency that they have developed through their training, exhibiting both their physical and mental finesse. There were over 100 competitors.
It is tour belief that everyone who participates in a competition is a winner. When a person enters a tournament they are "on a quest to do their best." This is a character builder and a challenge that is only taken on by the leaders of today and tomorrow.
The students and their parents all had a rewarding experience. Pictured beloware students from all over Long Island.
