The Mineola Shooting Stars have gotten off to a resounding start this fall season. They are unbeaten after four games (2-2-0). Game 1 against Port Washington resulted in an 8-0 win with goals scored by Elizabeth Sanderleaf (2), Rose Vivinetto, Caitlin Orlando, Katie Steen (2), Caroline Frey and Michelle McGuinness. Goalies Katie Keegan and Elizabeth Sanderleaf made the shutout possible.

Game 2 against Oceanside resulted in a 1-1 tie. The only goal scored by Rose Vivinetto.

Game 3, a 2-2 tie against Auburndale, was a very exciting game against a tough competitor. Goals scored by Caitlin Orlando and Elizabeth Sanderleaf. Jessica Handibode was terrific in goal in both of these games.

Game 4 was a 1-0 win against Floral Park. The goal winning scored early in the first half by Caitlin Orlando was protected by the strong defense and great goaltending of Jessica Handibode and Brianne Ruzek.
