The Mineola Shooting Stars have gotten off to a resounding start this fall season. They are unbeaten after four games (2-2-0). Game 1 against Port Washington resulted in an 8-0 win with goals scored by Elizabeth Sanderleaf (2), Rose Vivinetto, Caitlin Orlando, Katie Steen (2), Caroline Frey and Michelle McGuinness. On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Mineola Mustang football team defeated their opponents from West Hempstead by a score of 46-22. The annual Homecoming Football Classic was attended by a capacity crowd of students, parents, community members, alumni, teachers and district administration, as the previously undefeated Mustangs continued their unbeaten streak.
