Referendum Will Decide Library's Future
The Mineola Board of Trustees in agreement with the Library Board unanimously approved a motion to hold a referendum on Tuesday, Oct. 20 so that Mineola residents will vote to approve or deny a $3.994 million bond to pay for the renovation of the Mineola Memorial Library.

Area Children Receive Belt Promotions
Fourteen students attending the Young Children's Program at Charles Water's Hwang Karate Studio, located in Williston Park, received promotions this week. Charles Water's program instills the values that we all want for our children. These students have shown their respect by listening, have increased their physical coordination and have built upon their strengths by developing self-esteem and confidence. These children are the leaders of tomorrow.
