Game eight of the MAA Minors summer camp started off as a showcase of fine pitching. Midway through the game, however, the batters started finding their marks.

Brian Greene, Edward Proctor, Michael Vasconcelos and Michael Grieco traded shutout innings, combining to fan 12, while yielding three walks. In the top of the third, 14 batters came to the plate, resulting in nine runs. Troy and Zane Kerney scored four times. The game was capped off by a grand slam by Grieco.

Reliever Jimmy Murtha retired all three batters he faced. Peter Clarke also pitched effectively, striking out three and allowing two base runners.
