The second game of the MAA Minors Summer Camp took place on July 16. As in the first game, several players got the opportunity to pitch for the first time and "show their stuff."

Some had very good stuff, with Jimmy Murtha striking out all three batters he faced and Chris Brostek fanning two of his three batters. Kristen Tubbs, David Esselborn, Michael Diglio, Joe Werther, Zane Kerney and Brendan Hickey all were effective on the mound, combining for 13 strikeouts. Padraic Phelan collected a double and two singles. Joe Werther tripled in two runs. Kevin Etherson scratched out an infield hit and scored a run.

The MAA Minors Summer Camp is a fun game open to all MAA minors and farms players players and takes place every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Wilson Field near the pool. Come on down and have some "hot fun in the summertime."
