The program has once again proven to be extremely popular with our residents. In this our tenth year, we have in excess of 225 children who are participating.
This year the program is headed by Christine Wiedman who is assisted by 18 counselors and three assistants.
On Friday, July 3, the Mineola Pool will be holding its first ever Karaoke Night. It will begin at 9 p.m. and is scheduled to end at midnight. All members over 18 years of age are invited to attend.
Session I of the swimming lessons had in excess of 125 participating.
Mindful that some of the adult residents may not have had the opportunity to learn how to swim when they were youngsters, adult swimming lessons are now being offered for all swimmers. This program is available for Mineola residents who are 15 years of age or older. These classes are scheduled Tuesday through Friday at 1 p.m.
New swimming programs are also being offered at the pool. Angel Fish is a program for infants and their mothers/fathers. This is held at the Kiddy Pool.
Lifeguard training programs are available to residents who are at least 15 years old. Those that are interested should contact Jen Harling.
There are extended morning hours Tuesday through Friday. The pool will open at 8 a.m. Enjoy a swim before you go to work.
