Two weeks of rain jumbled the schedules for MAA baseball and soccer teams. But one afternoon when it stopped long enough for some games to be played, the writer of this column had a chance to bicycle around to all the fields to see what activities were taking place.
The lasting impression, after observing parts of majors, minors and farm baseball games and a girls' soccer match, was that there was some sensitive, caring, informed coaching taking place. The executive board would like to thank all volunteers who are helping make sports a positive experience for so many of our children.
