We have been neighbors and friends of Michael Fiorillo and Eleanor Zatlin for many years and we support them in their upcoming bid for reelection to the East Williston School Board.

Michael and Eleanor have always kept the interests of the school district at heart, while constantly attempting to keep an eye on the budget. They have been prudent in financial matters while still supporting the issues that were important to strengthening and enhancing the educational programs in our schools. They have been open, straightforward and, above all, accessible; we have always felt that we could go to them if we had questions or problems about school affairs.

At times, although, it would have been easier for them to go along with popular opinion, Michael and Eleanor have found the courage to take a risk and to oppose the majority. We recognize that it is difficult for them to publicly disagree with the prevailing sentiments of their colleagues, and we applaud this moral and ethical integrity that has led them to take a stand. We know that they will continue to exhibit these qualities, and that they will never hesitate to speak their minds on any important issue.

For all these reasons, we are convinced that Michael Fiorillo and Eleanor Zatlin have been and will be the best candidates in the May elections for the East Williston School Board.
