In the winter 1998 edition of Hardball, the magazine of the Men's Adult Baseball League, three Nassau Expos were recognized for their outstanding performance during the 1997 season. Pitcher Tim Schenck was the divisional win-loss leader, posting a perfect 4-0 record. His 1.000 winning percentage was tops on Long Island. Schenck was also runner-up to the strikeput title, recording a whopping 73 K's. Catcher Tony Hoffmann was second in the division in runs batted in, knocking in 26. Expos manager Angelo Scuccimarri, who was recently named to the LI MABL Board of Directors, was recognized as the key player who had contributed significantly to the league's success. The Expos finished the 1997 season with a record of 16 wins and six losses, the best in the team's history.
