Now that the holiday season has past, it is time to bring you up to date on how our Mustang teams are doing this winter. All of the teams have finished their preseason non-league matches, and are well into their regular league matches. The basketball teams are especially proud this season, as the Mineola gymnasium underwent some much needed renovations this summer. They are now proud to play on a newly finished floor. The lighting and sound systems have also bee upgraded. Two student athletes contributed their artistic talents to this project. Senior Jessica Hegmann (basketball) and senior Mark Brown (wrestling and baseball) designed and drew the Mustang team mascot on each end of the basketball court. This excellent drawing was then covered with many coats of polyurethane and will be a part of our high school heritage for many years to come. Thanks go to the school board, Mr. Tony Gulli and the district administration for their support of this project.
