Anthony Saffiotti

Anthony Saffiotti, of Albertson, died on Oct. 28, 1997. Partner of Cary Wolen, Steve Latessa and John Blasi of Mortgage Plus Equity and Loan Inc. Husband of Karen. Father of Allison. Son of Theresa. Brother of Vincent. Also survived by many cousins. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery. Donations can be made, in Anthony Saffiotti's memory, to the American Cancer Society.


Marilynn J. Brewi

Marilynn J. Brewi, of Mineola, died on Oct. 28, 1997. Wife of the late George. Mother of Theresa Meade, Stephen T., Kathleen and Elizabeth Donnatin. Mother-in-law of Peter Meade, Wendy Stynes and James Donnatin. Grandmother of Kathryn and Bridget. Sister of Ginny Dolfinger, Jackie Smith and David Neighbors. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Memorial Mass at Corpus Christi Church. Donations can be made to the LI Humane Society, 2 Rider Pl., Freeport, NY 11520.


Harry Martin -- Businessman and Artist

Harry Martin, a 50-year resident of Mineola, died on Nov. 11, 1997 at the age of 79. Mr. Martin was born in Brooklyn, moved to Mineola in 1946 and to the current family home in 1959. He served in the Army as a second lieutenant in WWII, European Sector, from 1942-1945.

Mr. Martin was a graduate of Queens College and earned an MFA in 1985 from Adelphi University. He conducted management training courses and was a lecturer at Adelphi University in addition to positions at Grumman Aircraft and Merrill Lynch. He retired in 1983 from Sperry Marine Systems. For the past 10 years, Harry Martin has pursued a career as a painter and was active in the Nassau County Art League.

Harry Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marianne Martin; three daughters, Joyce Perz, Barbara Mummers and Claudia Martin; grandchildren, Ted and Cynthia Shelton, Tim and Michelle Mummers.

Funeral services were held at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Williston Park.
