The office of Massapequa High School – Main Campus Principal Dr. James Grossane was filled with joy and good wishes as two members of the Varsity Volleyball team, coached by Carol Ann Habeeb-Kiel, met with their families, Dr. Grossane, and district director of health, athletics and physical education John Piropato to sign on the dotted line and accept scholarship money from two institutions of higher education.
Briana Wallace will attend Rider University this fall, where she will join the roster of the Lady Broncs Volleyball team, which is one of twenty NCAA Division I teams at Rider. Senior Julie Bies will also play volleyball next year as a student at Manhattan College. Julie will wear the green and white uniform of the Lady Jaspers, also a Division I team.
Both Brianna and Julie said they are looking forward to meeting on the college volleyball court when the two teams inevitably face off during the season.
The Massapequa Public School District wishes the two graduates all the best and congratulates them on their years of accomplishments that have led them to this latest honor in their academic and athletic careers.
