Massapequa Runners Score In RunNassau

Tara Mannino, Christina Langan, Paul LaGumina, Glenn Morse, and Monica Enright of Massapequa, Sherry Bellovin of North Massapequa, and Howard Kestenbaum of Massapequa Park, won awards from the Jonas Chiropractic RunNassau Series Race Four at Eisenhower Park on Saturday, April 27.

The 36-year-old Mannino was the first woman to cross the finish line of this four-mile event, with a time of 27:04 and a pace of 6:46 per mile.

LaGumina was the third finisher overall and earned the first place trophy in the 15-18 age group, with a time of 24:23.

Langan took top honors among females in the 14 and under group. Morse earned the third-place award in the 60-64 age group. Bellovin was the second-place finisher in the women’s 65-69 group. Kestenbaum scored second in the 80-84 group.

The Jonas Chiropractic RunNassau Series was conducted with Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Museums, and handled by the Greater Long Island Running Club. “We were thrilled to be able to make this series happen again this year,” noted series codirector Larry Kurtzman.
