Local Soccer Stars Named to Select Squad

Congratulations to Massapequa boys, Joseph Swenson and Oliver Roberts, on being selected to the U.S. Soccer’s National Pool. The National Player Pool is composed of the best soccer players in the country. The boys’ journey to become national players began with the N Y State Olympic Development Program. They were chosen to participate in the NY State ODP Tournament, at which time they were ID’d by regional coaches. They were then invited to attend the Regional ID Camp where National coaches selected them for the National Player Pool. Congratulations to both the boys.
