I hope everyone is enjoying our mild winter. I’ll keep my fingers crossed it lasts into spring since I’ve delayed buying a snow blower this season. The groundhogs can’t even agree on the forecast. I’m glad they’re not weathermen.
February is a quiet month for us, but we are hard at work planning our Community Festival scheduled for Memorial Day weekend starting on Friday, May 25 through Sunday, May 27. The festival will be held at the Massapequa railroad parking lot M5 located at Sunrise Highway and Broadway. If anyone is interested in being a sponsor, craft vendor or volunteer, please call the office at 541-1443 for details.This month we celebrated the grand openings of C&R Jewelry and Casa DiVino with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. All members are welcome to attend our ribbon-cuttings. For a schedule of upcoming ribbon-cuttings, please visit our website.
Members don’t forget, with your paid up membership, you are entitled to send us your “special offer” coupons for our website free-of-charge. The application may be downloaded from our website under “News and Information.” Completed applications should be sent to the Chamber office for processing.

Each year, the Chamber of Commerce of the Massapequa’s awards a $250 scholarship to a member’s child who is presently a senior in high school. The Chamber member must be in good standing. You may download the application from our website at: www.MassapequaChamber.com. All applications must be submitted to our office no later than April 4. The winner will be chosen at random.
