A Massapequa student will have his artwork on display at Hofstra University’s Social Realism Art Exhibit on Oct. 15. Joe Mauceri, a ninth-grade student in Massapequa, created a pencil drawing of President John F. Kennedy as an eighth grade student at Berner Middle School. That drawing will now be displayed at the exhibit, which features an art and photo contest for grades six through 12 and an awards ceremony for both middle and high school levels. The event is free and open to the public.
